From biochemistry
to business strategy.
Dennis began in basic scientific reseach and moved progressively closer to the question of how science becomes useful — through better strategy, partnerships, digital tools, patient engagement, and commercial execution.
Dr. Dennis Alexander Kwiatkowski is a Berlin-based biochemist, consultant, and entrepreneur. His career has moved across academia, industry, consulting, digital health, and entrepreneurship — at the intersection of science, strategy, and commercial execution.
Dennis began with deep scientific training — completing a PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in biochemistry, with research focused on protein expression, structural biology, membrane proteins, infectious biology, and research at institutions connected to the Charité and Freie Universität Berlin.
From academia, he moved into industrial research at Bayer, experiencing how early-stage science connects to drug discovery.
After his PhD he entered life science consulting at Scitaris, where he supported biotech and pharma clients on BD&L questions — market analysis, product positioning, stakeholder communication, and strategic planning. This is where the ability to translate scientific complexity into clear, actionable narratives became central to his work.
At Temedica, a Munich-based digital health company, Dennis worked in the real-world evidence and pharma partnerships space — helping pharmaceutical clients understand how patient companion apps, PROs, and real-world data can create clinical, regulatory, and commercial value. This role combined scientific credibility with commercial execution: supporting six-figure B2B deals, designing RWE strategies, and navigating pharma procurement processes.
In parallel, Dennis has built and advised multiple ventures — from BerlinBioTech (a media platform covering Berlin's life science ecosystem) to StartinBG and Berlin Sofia Partners (focused on cross-border entrepreneurship between Germany and Bulgaria),and acneinversa.life (a patient education platform on hidradenitis suppurativa). He has also provides advisory support to Orbion, an AI-enabled protein science platform, and applied growth and SEO skills in B2B and consumer food-tech contexts.
Today, Dennis works independently as a consultant and advisor, supporting biotech companies, pharma teams, digital health startups, and AI-driven life science companies that need strategic clarity, commercial direction, or better ways to communicate their scientific value to the right audiences.

Career trajectory
PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in biochemistry with deep expertise in protein expression, structural biology, infectious biology, membrane proteins, and preclinical research. This scientific foundation gave Dennis the ability to read primary literature, understand complex mechanisms, and translate molecular detail into meaningful context.
Bridged academic research and industrial drug discovery — understanding how preclinical evidence translates into development decisions, how pharma organizations operate, and what questions drive investment in early-stage science.
Moved into life science consulting, working with biotech and C-level pharma clients on strategy, positioning, and commercial questions. Developed the ability to structure complex problems, communicate to non-scientific audiences, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Joined the digital health space, focusing on real-world evidence, patient companion apps, pharma partnerships, and patient engagement strategy. Worked at the intersection of data science, clinical evidence, and commercial healthcare — supporting six-figure B2B deals and pharma collaborations.
Built and advised multiple projects including StartinBG, Berlin Sofia Partners, acneinversa.life, and advisory work around Orbion's AI protein science platform.
